A member asked:

Can a cavity in your tooth cause pulse sounds in your ear?

Yes: Pain from the tooth can radiate back to the ear causing pain. The nerve that interfaces the jaw starts from the area where the ear is. See a dentist and get the tooth taken off quickly. Good luck!

Yes: Pulse sounds are often associated with swelling, and can be more pronounced when you are lying down. Go see your dentist and have the area examined and treated.

Yes: If the cavity is in a back molar or a wisdom tooth that is so deep and got to the nerve that gets inflamed in turn sending those pulsating surges into your check area including your ears.

Possibly: Pain in a molar tooth can radiate into your face, jaw, and possibly your ear. It could also give you a headache. If you know you have a dental issue i would recommend you have it taken care of first, as this is the obvious pathology and if the pounding in your ear doesn't stop i would have you see an otolaryngologist (ENT) for an examination.
