A member asked:

Does apple cider vinegar whiten teeth?

No.: Apple cider vinegar is good for a lot of things, some proven, some not. It is, for instance, helpful as a digestive aid, but evidence is anecdotal (not scientific). Vinegar has, however, been used since the time of the ancient greeks to dissolve calcium. Since teeth are made largely of calcium, it could damage your tooth enamel.

No: You need an oxidizer to bleach the staining compounds in your teeth to whiten them.

Not sure....: Stay on the safe side and use a proven over the counter whitening kit or call your dentist, they will probably give it to you for free!

Yes and no: Please don't use it for this purpose. It will initially lighten your teeth but it does this by dissolving them. Continued use will cause you to loose a lot of enamel and make your teeth more yellow. Long term use will cause a huge amount of damage.
