A member asked:

Will having two fractures within a year affect my bone density?

No.: Fractures don't lower bone density. Low bone density produces fragile bone which is more susceptible to fracture.

Depends: If the fractures affect your ability to do weight bearing physical activity then your bone density will decline. If you are still active, this will be less of an issue. Making sure that you keep up good calcium and vitamin d intake will also be helpful. Once the fractures have healed, make sure to go back to exercise as your doctor recommends.
