32yo girl, no history of cad, total cholest is 242. hdl is 65. went to er w/chest pains. ekg, blood tests, d-dimer were all ok. is that conclusive?

For what?: You probably did not have a heart attack, however given your cholesterol level, you are at higher risk, though your high HDL level provides some protection. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
