Chest pain. ekg, d-dimer, asa, chest xray, esr "normal". echo says "restrictive pattern lv diastolic fill". anxious re risk of cad/athero & heart attack. ?

Heart muscle disease: Instead of atherosclerosis, I am much more concerned about the possibility of amyloidosis, endocardial fibrosis or some other illness producing a restrictive pattern, although they are less of an immediate threat to life. Time will tell. Good luck.

More work up needed: Stress testing and ultimately cardiac cath. To rule out CAD as a cause.
