See another doctor: Other than exercise triggered asthma, it's a good bet that asthma that is not worse at night is not asthma at all. All knowledgeable lung specialists know this. They also know that a normal spirometry test is not inconsistent with asthma, even persistent asthma. If your doctor does not respond to your complaint consider getting a second opinion.

2nd opinion?: If your doctor isn't meeting your expectations, you have a couple of options. 1) tell him your concerns and frustrations-maybe he doesn't know that you don't feel he's addressed your concerns. 2) seek another opinion communication is very important. If you find it difficult to discuss everything during your visit, write it down, and give to your doctor at the beginning of your visit.
