Start at about 15: Wisdom teeth eruption can vary on ages, most likely around 15 years old. Whether the wisdom teeth erupt properly is another matter. The teeth can no erupt at all (completely impacted- in bone, bone and tissue;) partially impacted- part way through the tissue or fully erupt. Many people are born these days without wisdom teeth. Should have your dentist monitor as you get to this age.

Varies: Wisdom teeth, like all teeth can vary in the progression of development. Some patients as young as 12 or 13 may have wisdom teeth that are more developed than a 20 year old. Eruption is dependent upon the development of the root of the tooth, position of the tooth, as well as available space.
