Fluoride: Good tooth brushing with a Fluoride toothpaste, flossing, a diet low in sugars and carbohydrates, keeping your mouth hydrated is the best. Also, fluoridated water, not bottled water, or Fluoride applied by your dentist is good.

Also try these: There are remineralizing toothpastes and gels with super saturated calcium-phosphorous compounds that can remineralizing and harden early decay and prevent new decay. Prescription level Fluoride toothpastes with 5000 parts per million (as opposed to 5 parts per million of Fluoride in normal toothpaste) can also harden teeth against decay.

Prevention is Key!: Teeth are unique in that they do not heal themselves. Once a tooth has decayed, your dentist can repair it, however, it is not truly reversed. Some newer products on the market that claim to reverse decay are being studied. The best things to do are brush, floss, rinse, see your dentist& hygieist and avoid sugary foods and carbohydrates to remain on your teeth for extended periods of time.
