Tooth decay: Sometimes if the decay is small enough flouride can help reverse the decay. But if the decay passes a certain point you will need a filling. Brush and floss regularly and properly, get cleanings regularly and reduce the amount of acidic drinks that are not counteracted, and you may get less cavities.

Decay: It depends on why you have so much decay. You can get cavities filled, but unless you use a toothbrush -effectively-, have a tooth friendly diet, and correct any harmful habits. You will always get decay. Get an examination, have all cavities removed in a short period of time, and have regular check ups to control any decay. The less a dentist drills on your teeth the better.

Do's & Don'ts...: Bacteria causes decay. If you can manage it, you can dramatically reduce or eliminate decay. So: 1. Don't feed the bacteria between meals (carbs and especially sugars in snacks do this so eliminate these from snacks). 2. Stay healthy (exercise, nutrition, hydration). 3. See your dentist regularly (at least twice annually). 4. Meticulously & gently clean your mouth (brush & floss every day).
