Best to consult with: An orthodontist. He will need to obtain diagnostic records on you (panoramic and cephalometric x-rays) and some diagnostic models before treatment options can be presented.

Braces: Traditional orthodontics, invisalign or possibly veneers ( instant orthodontics). It all depends on your specific condition.

Overbite: In layman's terms, an "overbite" typically refers to the upper front teeth sticking out horizontally, further than the lower front teeth. An orthodontist defines an "overbite" as the vertical overlap of the upper front teeth over the lower front teeth. They are very different situations unfortunately with the same name. It's best to have an exam with an orthodontist to determine the problem.

2 solutions: Surgically: reshape the teeth that don't look or function correctly, perhaps with crowns or veneers. Requires periodic replacement. Non-surgically: put teeth where they belong with orthodontic treatment. Many appliance choices available. Retention required after active rx is completed. Moving teeth where they belong more conservative than cutting them down, and less expensive in the long run.
