How long after a sprained ankle should you start a physical therapy program?

Immediately: Starting physical therapy immediately following a sprained ankle can expedite the healing response and get you back to function quicker. Our initial treatments would incorporate soft tissue techniques to decrease swelling, improve tissue quality and maintain mobility. We would strengthen the surrounding muscles to help stabilize the ankle.
