No: This is not normal. Call the doctor who did the biopsy to be reexammined.

Probably muscle : Thyroid biopsy is done with a very small needle and usually doesn't result in pain even in the days after the procedure. If you have pain now, see your doctor. Worrying about it will increase muscle spasm and thus increase pain.
