Had a thyroid biopsy today. the biopsy was very uncomfortable - he went in five times - as was the needle with the anesthetic. i have been icing the area and took tylenol; however, i feel intermittent pain in my upper lung area. is this normal?

Upper lung area covers a lot of territory and need more info to be able to help. I would discuss with your Biopsy Dr. They will know what is normal for what they did in women like you who live where you live.
