Teething: You are right. When teeth are coming in it can be quite painful and annoying. It can make those helping the baby go crazy! try getting some topical gel which is basically an anesthetic to help quell the pain. You can also go to a health food store and find some homeopathic meds that may help.

Teething: It does sound as though your 6 month old may be teething. It is not too early to take her in for an initial visit with a pediatric or general dentist. Teething may be temporarily alleviated by swabbing her gums with a gentle cold wash cloth. Most treatments for teething are temporary making "giving it time" the best option. In the mean while, do what you can to make both of you comfortable.

Teething: I think your diagnosis is accurate. Sounds like your child is teething. Try a cold teething ring or gently swabbing gums with a cold cloth. See a Pedodontist, a pediatric dental specialist, to evaluate dent-facial growth and development, and to provide suggestions to sooth the sore areas so that both you and your child can get some much needed rest.
