Is triamterene hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) 37.5/25 a low dose med for high bp? my doc gave me this medicine as sometimes my bp gets to 140-150/85-95. is this dose safe?

Medication: Hello. This is the lowest dose of the med. It is a combination diuretic designed to avoid low potassium, which can sometimes happen with diuretics. Like all BP meds, we always tell patients to monitor for common side effects like dizziness, fatigue.
