I agree: See a travel or wilderness specialist. Diamox (acetazolamide) is a sulfa medication. If you have severe sulfa allergy the next appropriate medications would be a form of Prednisone and/or a high dose of Motrin (if appropriate)--which has recently been shown to be helpful as well.
