Is it normal to not be able to speak after a seizure? i don't mean during, i mean after.

Common: It is common to have problems like grogginess, problems speaking, problems thinking clearly, and even weakness for hours after a seizure. The seizure is an electrical diacharge in the brain afterall, and it can leave certain areas stunned, and they can take hours to recover normal function. If it is something that clears up within a few hours after the seizure, it is likely due to the seizure.

Yes: Not "normal", but postictal residua of a seizure. This is the phase of postictal confusion which could persist for several minutes to several hours. An entity called "todd's paralysis" could last up to a few weeks.
