A member asked:

I have a lump on right side of my throat about size of a quarter. was told it was from strep throat but that's been gone for a month & the lump is not?

Lymph node: During a throat infection, lymph nodes in the neck become swollen and tender. After the infection the tenderness disappears and the swollen nodes usually get smaller. A lump in the neck that is enlarging needs to be checked by a doctor.
