Burns: Whenever we burn our skin we cause an inflammatory response. If the skin remains red for a time period, it may become darker due to pigmentation changes in the skin. This is a normal process to healing. Try to use aloe to soothe the burn and take vitamin c to help with healing.

I suspect OK: If there was no blistering and you cooled it promptly, its probably a pretty superficial burn. Should be healed in a few days--let us know if not.

Yes: If it still has feeling when you touch it, and blanches ( temporarily turns pale when you push on it then release pressure), then it is likely a partial thickness burn, and should heal well with what you are doing. Some deeper burns can appear deeper red though, so check it does the above, or see a doc if it fails to progress.
