I have middle upper back pain right on spine. hurts the worst when i'm sitting. have had mri/ct and xray. would mild scoliosis and arthritis do this?

Yes, possibly: Both may be playing a role. The off-kilter positioning of the spine in scoliosis may change the muscle tension on one side or the other and result in spasm and discomfort. Arthritis will certainly create pain since you are having inflammation in the joint spaces and this includes the spaces between spinal vertebrae.

Yes: Yes. Scoliosis loads the facet joints in an abnormal way and even cause them to enlarge due to force the curve puts on them.
