Facial Scan?: Is that a ct or MRI study? If so, then yes. The eyelids would provide no significant shielding from the x-rays of a ct. There is no ionizing radiation from a MRI so eyes may be opened unless you were having a fancy functional MRI for evaluation for the visual cortex and they asked for your eyes to be closed for a portion of the scan. Still, there is no danger.
