Cream: One can use a Lidocaine cream, a menthol based cream, or something prescribed like voltaren or emla (lidocaine and prilocaine).

Numbing: First , there should be no need for it. Second , if sutures are involved you shouldn't be putting anything near them . See your surgeon and do not attempt home care.
