It's normal: Surgery involves cutting and involves healing whether it's minor or not. A week after surgery, there is still a significant degree of initial healing that is occurring and swelling that is normal. That localized activity can still result in numbness in the area and distal to that site. Talk to your surgeon about your concerns.

Talk to surgeon: The nerves may have been bruised or otherwise affected during the surgery. There is also the possibility of swelling, which can occur if you don't keep off the foot, and/or keep it elevated. Talk to your surgeon about your concerns.

Numb: You state it was minor , but not what was done. All surgery involves an incision of some sort. That means nearby structures can be injured. Please see your surgeon for a better explanation as he/she knows what was done.

See below: You may have some swelling still that is pressing on a nerve. It would be best to know what type of surgery to be able to give a better answer.
