A member asked:

I had a fusion surgery done on one of my toes last october. now my foot is always numb and said toe is always itching as well as the area where the toe connects to the foot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

11 months after surgery with numbness still present could result in a permanent condition. Have you discussed this with the surgeon? Have you seek a second opinion? Also see a neurologist. I am not aware of any methods or procedures that will return feeling. Over time other nerves will help with feeling but will never return to being the same.
