Warm compresses: Pain in the back of the neck/head as well as forehead can be due to muscle pain; which can be due to posture as well as strain due to over activity. You could try applying warm or cold compresses on the back of the head and see if that helps. Also, try tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil if you are not allergic and can take them safely.

Disc or facet joint : Problems can cause muscular pain leading to these headaches which can be exacerbated by bad or prolonged posture and even how you sleep and that may be more related to your pillow than your mattress. Try a small, flat pillow and use otc medication if no contraindications. You can also due some neck exercises which can be obtained on the internet at sites like spinehealth.Com and avoid smoking.
