Yes: It really never too early to take a child to a dentist. Some kids are born with teeth. There are sometimes issues with teething that a pedodontist can help you with. I would recomend you make an appointment with a children's dentist for a routine checkup--a pedodontist.

Depends: Normally a child can be seen early, but usually 2-3 years old. Even if they first come into visit the office without being seen is a good introduction and helps with any anxiety the you or they might have.
