If you have missing teeth, is it possible to get permanent false teeth to replace the old ones?

Yes.: Dental implants are a great option to replace missing teeth and it is almost as natural as having you own teeth back.

Absolutely: In most cases this is very straightforward. Dental implants can be placed in the bone and teeth can be built on them. The bone must be sufficient and in the right place to do this. If it is not, then procedures can usually be done to correct this first. See a prosthodontist first for a full examination. They will then guide you through the correct steps and complete your teeth.

Yes: What you are describing are dental implants. A dental implant is essentially an anchor in bone that can support a wide range of prosthesis. The number of implants needed will depend on the number of teeth to be replaced, type of prosthesis (single tooth or a full denture), and bone available. See a dentist with experience in dental implants to get an evaluation and options with or without implants.

Often: Today's stat-of-the-art is implants/crowns. Only your dentist will know, after examining your occlusion and the gum/bone support whether this is the best option for you, or if another option would be better. Remember, even the best restorations need some maintenance in the future. You dentist may want to consider referring you to a prosthodontist.

Options: There are several options available to replace missing teeth, but each case depends upon the health of the remaining teeth, the bone and gum tissue, overall health, etc. See a dentist and get more than one opinion.
