I am suffering from searing pain after ingrown toenails were worked on. what should i do?

See your doctor: While some pain is experienced after these procedures, they usually are alleviated with over-the-counter pain relievers, and postoperative care (soaks, dressings). Increased pain might suggest an infection.

Pedicure?: Were the toenails worked on by a podiatrist or pedicurist? A podiatrist will be able to numb the area they work on, perform a permanent procedure so this doesn't occur again, and tell you how to care for it in future. They may even have other options for you once they examine the nail. Good luck!

Take care of it.: On occasion a small piece of nail may be left behind that can be source of you pain and discomfort. Have it evaluated and get the appropriate treatment.
