A member asked:

My husband has a bothersome pain in his outer elbow. rubs with icy hot help out a little but it's been bothering him over a week and doesn't go away.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tennis elbow: There are several possible causes, but it sounds like your husband has lateral epicondylitis, commonly known as 'tennis elbow'. This is usually a result of repetitive activities. If he has no other health problems, it would be reasonable for him to try an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory (motrin, Aleve (naproxen) or the like).
