YES if open/unstable: It depends on the stability of the fracture. A splint or cast or specialized traction device may be all that is needed. Surgery is reserved for open or unstable fractures.

25 yrs ago left pinky sprained. Never went to doc. Now sticks far to the left like backwards "L" when fingers stretch out. Went to ortho who said surgery not worth correction 'just live with it.' Any ideas what to do for looks? Tape to ring finger?
