I had surgery on my left wrist on the 11th. the orange stuff they used caused a very itchy rash and i told them i was allergic to betadine. any ideas?

? iodide allergy: It sounds like a possible allergy to iodides (iodine-containing substances). If there is a rash in areas which were coated by the "orange stuff", that represents a "contact dermatitis". Contact the surgeon to confirm it was an iodinated substance, and note for the future your iodine allergy.
