Is it possible for a diverticulitis rupture with an ostomy bag after surgery?

Possible: It only requires one pocket to leak to cause trouble. Unless your surgeon resected all diseased segment (not recommended) it is possible to have recurrent infection-even rupture. When was the surgery? It may be residual infection that will eventually clear.
