A member asked:

Can hydrogen peroxide make your throat sore?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes if excessive: Like anything in life, too much of a good thing can be bad. Hydrogen peroxide 3%, mixed in equal part with water, is sometimes used to kill germ in the back of throat by gargling. However, excessive gargling with this solution or use of the solution without diluting with water can irritate the lining of throat and cause sore throat.
