No: The back teeth are taken out first, the areas allowed to heal. When the dentures are delivered remaining teeth are taken out and the dentures are delivered at the same time. Over the next two months adjustments are made then the dentures are relined once the extraction sites heal. There will be more adjustments and then you are done;please have them checked @6mo intervals, replace in 5 years.

Not necessarily: You may get "immediate dentures" the same day as the teeth are removed. With the proper planning before the extractions you can have immediate dentures. These are placed the same day as the extractions and help you feel more comfortable and reduce the swelling. Nearly all my patients opt for this treatment. As your tissues heal the dentures become looser we add material to keep them fitting.

No: Your dentist can go through a series of appointments with you in advance of tooth extraction so your dentures will be ready to place immediately ofter extraction. However, these dentures will have to be monitored and adapted over time as your mouth heals.

Possible: Depends whether they made dentures prior to your appointment to have your teeth extracted. If they did then you go home with teeth. If not then you go home without teeth.
