Toothache: There is a reason you have a toothache. I would advised that you take an anti-inflammatory medicine i.e. Mortin, Aleve (naproxen) ..... To help calm the toothache. Then i would recommend that you go see your dentist to go figure out what is causing the tooth ache.

Broad Question: The cause of or why your tooth hurts is very important in determining how to eliminate your toothache. I urge you to visit your dentist asap. As with many things, the longer the pain goes unattended, the more damage to the tooth/area and eventually your treatment options become more complicated. The presence of pain is your body's way of alerting you that something is needing attention.
