Babies safety: The anesthesia used to put you out transfers to baby & also can sedate them, preventing a safe transition to air breathing.When used in an urgent situation to get baby out by c-section, we have about 15 minutes to get baby out before the anesthesia starts to build up in baby, potentially requiring breathing assistance for the baby for an extended period.
