A member asked:

Why doctors don't operate on the breast if there are already metastases in liver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Really no benefit: If there is cancer in the liver, taking the cancer out of the breast does not help the liver. In addition, being able to feel a mass in the breast can allow the clinician to tell if there has been a response. Hope this helps.
