Depends : The level of amputation is most important as the higher the amputation the more difficult it is to walk with the prosthesis. Diabetes by itself is not a problem if controlled. Foot care is crucial to prevent amputation of the other leg. Weight might limit the options an amputee has as prosthetic components have weight limits. Inability to tolerate exercise is another limiting factor.
