Ibuprofen : Tooth pain is usually instigated by inflammation. Tylenol (acetaminophen) doesn't affect inflammation, but advil does. Advil is a brand name for ibuprofen.

The best one is..: Pain medications work differently for different individuals. This is true both for classification of pain meds and dosage. What is weak for one individual might be too strong for another. Personally, i often recommend advil (ibuprofen) or suggest that one takes what normally worst best for them when they have a headache. If you have tooth pain call your dentist. Proper treatment always works the best!

See A Dentist: Temporarily use something like tylenol (acetaminophen). Any anti-inflammatory medication can help. Aleve, motrin, advil and even a holistic alternative arnica. Ice to minimize swelling can also be helpful. That is only managing the pain... I agree with the other doctors. Please see a dentist to help you resolve the issue which is causing you pain. Make an appointment asap please.

Ibuprofen: The best medication to use as long as you do not have any issues with your digestive track or are already on daily asprin therapy(or other blood thinners). Even though it its a safe, over the counter drug, you still must consider the other medications you might be on. If you are not sure you can always check with your physician.

Advil, Tylenol (acetaminophen): Advil or Tylenol (acetaminophen). Neither will solve the problem. You need to see dentist for evaluation and treatment.
