What is the best over-the-counter pain killers for wisdom tooth problems?

Yes, but...: If you can take an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen or Naproxen sodium) without a problem, these otc meds are better pain relievers than acetaminophen. More importantly, though, you need to have your wisdom tooth problem evaluated for possible treatment; pain is often a symptom of infection which can get worse if untreated.

NSAID: NSAID. Problem will recur without treatment. See oral surgeon for exam/recommendations.
