Any: Kids need shoes to protect their feet from "the elements" and to keep them warm on cold days. Expensive "supportive" shoes are not necessary. Save your money.

Sneakers : Make sure they have good arch support, 'breathe' well, and are relatively light. No brand is better than any other as long as the fit is good. Don't spend a lot of money on fancy brands.
