What are good podiatric shoes for kids?

Any: Kids need shoes to protect their feet from "the elements" and to keep them warm on cold days. Expensive "supportive" shoes are not necessary. Save your money.

Try Stride-Rites: They are a well constructed shoe for most kids.

None : Kids do not need special shoes unless they have a problem. A good tennis shoe or stride rite shoe is fine.

Special Shoes: Orthopedic shoes are needed to address specific problems. There are various type of orthopedic shoes each with their individual indications. The type of shoe will need to address the specific pathology. Have the kids evaluated by a professional to see if they need special shoes.

Sneakers : Make sure they have good arch support, 'breathe' well, and are relatively light. No brand is better than any other as long as the fit is good. Don't spend a lot of money on fancy brands.
