It may be normal.: The delay in reaching the normal milestones we expect to see on ultrasound in early pregnancy are simply the result of a delayed ovulation, so that you are earlier than your dates suggest. On other occasions, it may be that the pregnancy is not doing well. Only time can really tell, because bleeding in pregnancy has little predictive value. On occasion, a blood test can be helpful. Time will tell.
