Serious injury.: The ligaments around the injury area were stronger than the bone they were attached to. The ligaments held, but pulled a portion of the bone off. Two weeks is not much time, generally 4-6 weeks is given as an answer. It should be splinted to be protected as it heals though.

Normal bone healing : Is approximately 6-8 weeks. Only your doctor though should be answering the question as they are looking at your x-rays and examining your foot. Be patient. Going back to athletics too soon could cause further damage. Although the yankees did not disclose much of derek jeter's injury i think his may of been similiar. So, you are in good company. Be patient - don't rush it.
