Can diabetes mellitus type 1 have tattoo?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Quang Nguyen
Specializes in Endocrinology
Yes: Just because you are a diabetic doesn't mean you cannot live a normal life. Keep in mind however that if your blood sugar is not well controlled, you are at higher risk for infection or not recovering well from an infection. Weigh the risks and benefits carefully.
