Maybe: There are quite a few things which could be going on. I would start with an evaluation by a good internist. A careful history and examination will reveal where to go from there. A carotid ultrasound may indeed be prudent along with some other testing. Until you get in the office, record your blood pressure and heart rate a few times a day. If things are severe, go to er.
