A member asked:

My father age 67 has 3rd stage cancer in lyranx, what are the chances of his recovery and best possible treatment, also his heart lvef is 28-30 %?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fair: Stage 1 larynx cancer limited to the cord is easiest to treat. Stage iii where nodes are involved are not the main problem. More difficult is when laryngeal cartilage is involved and may need partial laryngectomy. Radiation and chemo with the new agents are very effective in handling nodal metastasis to the neck. If not resectable.
