Revision: When undergoing a c-section, the priority is not to make a good skin closure, but to present you with a healthy baby. Frequently i see c-section scars that have not had all the layers of the abdomen repaired, sometimes even with the scar stuck to the outer covering of the muscle. Any good plastic surgeon is able to revise your scar and restore the proper layers.

See a plastic surgeo: Have a plastic surgeon evaluate you to determine if you would be a good candidate for a scar revision, which might alleviate your pain and symptoms. Good luck.

Could be a cyst: A cyst, neuroma, or hypertrophic scar could be causing pressure on on sensory nerves in the area of the scar with exertion (exercise). After 5 years, your scarring is mature, so if you are having persistent symptoms, you may want to consider a scar excision/revision to hopefully improve/relieve your intermittent pains (typical of nerve pain). If family is complete, tummy tuck may be appropriate.
