No: Dragging your foot is not normal. It is due to a reason. Sometimes surgery aims to correct it, or is only partially helped. Tripping and dragging your feet should be evaluated. There might need to be diagnostic tests to identify why the foot is doing this, and then options such as bracing/support, physical therapy, or possibly further surgery can be considered.

Was foot drop pre-op or did it occur post-op? Regardless, see your surgeon and consider EMG study which can provide data for prognosis and therapy

What kind of surgery did you have? It appears as if you were tripping even before your surgery. It is not “normal” to be dragging your foot, a condition called foot drop. A neurologic evaluation and perhaps a corrective device may be indicated.
