May be worse: A steroid may feel good because of the anesthetic with it, but the steroid actually delays healing if the ligament is really torn. At your age, don't guess about this and get this checked properly! even without insurance, there may be some county/city clinic assistance available. Ask! if you use mobility and stability in your ankle, it can cause further pain and suffering in later years!
