Depends: I would need more information. A desmoid tumor is quite rare & uncommon & usually located deeper inside the abdomen & would likely readily be seen by ct scan or maybe mri. Also a desmoid is not often able to be felt on an exam. It may be that you have a lipoma which is a benign fatty tumor that can be watched & left alone.

Muscle spasm?: I have seen muscle spasm as the most likely cause of similar situations in the past. If someone thinks there is a desmoid tumor, and there is no follow up planned, I would strongly consider another opinion. Hope this helps !

Need biopsy: A mass in the right upper quadrant of the abdominal cavity can derive from from any organ/tissue in this area such as the gallbladder, bile ducts, stomach wall, the fat and connective tissue etc and can be either benign or malignant, including desmoid tumor. A simple bx (fine needle bx) may give the answer
